Mazda Is Getting More Luxurious Than Ever Before

Monday, September 26th, 2016

Mazda 2

Driving a luxury car completely changes expectations of what driving should feel like. For example, inside of a $100,000 luxury vehicle, you get to see how many features exist just to make the driving experience as easy and pleasant as possible. Sure, the vehicle looks great from afar, but its the features inside that really allures drivers. As Mazda continues to develop new features and technologies designed to ease the drive, it’s carving itself a spot in the luxury department.

Of all the Mazda models, the Mazda6 is the first one to inherit one of these luxury features. G-Vectoring Control is a system designed to even out every bump, jerk and drag on the road. Because of it, driving a car is now less unpredictable and much smoother. It activates at just the right time, working to minimize driver fatigue. The steering wheel is much more responsive and direct with its movements.

If you find yourself having to drive long distances, whether it’s throughout the week commuting to work or road trips outside the city, Mazda aims to alleviate that driver fatigue brought on by steering conditions.

Road noise in the cabin–which can add to stress felt while driving long distances–is significantly diminished by improved sound insulation on the doors and around the windows.

The Mazda6 is voted the best sedan by Car and Driver and starts at a base price of $21,945. The features and price put it at fierce competition with other sedans in its class.
Come visit us at Cardinaleway Mazda in Corona. We have an extensive selection of new and certified pre-owned vehicles. Our amazing sales staff is here to answer your questions about the Mazda6 or any other model you may have in mind. If you’re looking for quality, safety, style and luxury, come visit today!

Large SUV Comparison: Mazda’s CX-9 vs. Kia’s Sorento, Part II

Wednesday, September 21st, 2016

MAzda CX-9 1

The CX-9 and Sorento are the closest competitors in the large SUV crowd. There are some differences worth discussing, despite what they may have in common. We have made a comprehensive list of how one of these SUVs rises above the rest. If you’re in the market for a new SUV, keep reading!

The Size:

For those looking to purchase an SUV to accommodate a family, a carpooling situation, or even a sports team, this section will tell you a lot about how many bodies can fit comfortable in these vehicles.

If we were to park these two vehicles side by side and look at them–the CX-9 is quite obviously larger than the other. It measures 5.08 meters long and 1.97 meters wide. The other measures 4.78 meters long by 1.89 wide.

Looking at the difference in size would probably have you thinking that the CX-9 also weighs more than the Sorento. The truth is, the CX-9 is actually lighter. It weighs 1911 kg and the Sorento weighs 1985 kg.

The Price:

The CX-9 Grand Touring will be available for purchase at $52,890, while other trims will start at $40K+. There will be additional on-road costs to choose from.

The Deal:

The CX-9 is larger, roomier, more accommodating, precise and responds smoothly on the road. The Sorento’s steering doesn’t measure up to Mazda’s sharp accuracy and it’s quieter than all others in its class.

Come test-drive Mazda’s CX-9 Grand Touring model, or any other that calls to you. At CardinaleWay Mazda in Corona, we carry a great selection of small and large SUVs, convertibles, sedans and compact cars. All of our vehicles are new or certified pre-owned. You can trust our amazing sales staff to help you find the option for you.

Large SUV Comparison: Mazda’s CX-9 vs. Kia’s Sorento, Part I

Monday, September 19th, 2016

Mazda cx9 1

Mazda’s CX-9 stands above the rest in its class–and the Kia Sorento is its closest competitor. If you are looking to purchase an SUV, please keep reading. We’re about to take a close look at why the CX-9 is most likely to be Mazda’s most popular SUV.

The Interior:

Features! The CX-9 sports electric passenger seat adjustment, heated front seats, autonomous emergency braking (ABS), voice-controlled internet app connectivity and blind-spot monitor.

The Kia Sorento lacks all of these things.

Seats? The CX-9 has seven wide and comfortable seats in every row. Even the seats that pop up from beneath the floor. As far as space and comfort goes, Mazda wins hands-down.

Trunk space? We know this is important to many people who need the space to move items. When all seats are popped up, or occupied, the trunk space measures at 230 liter volume. The Sorento measures just 142 liters. If you were to pull down the third rows, the CX-9’s trunk space measures a huge 810L while the Sorento gets only 605L.

The Connectivity:

There are twice the number of USB ports in the CX-9 than in the Sorento. It also boasts a larger touchscreen and an ability to connect your smartphone to internet apps like Pandora. The voice control has also been praised for its extreme accuracy. The Sorento has a smaller touchscreen and lacks those other features.

The Engine:

The CX-9 will carry a 2.5 litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine that’s expected to out-perform and outsell diesel engines.

The only option available in the Sorento is an all-wheel drive with a 2.2 liter four-cylinder engine.

Stop by CardinaleWay Mazda in Corona to experience the CX-9 for yourself. It’s a gorgeous and innovative SUV. Mazda’s reliability and pleasurable driving experience will have you wishing you’d visited us sooner!

The SkyActiv Feature: A New Technology For Mazda’s CX-5, Part II

Thursday, September 15th, 2016

Mazda CX-5 interior

There is no compact crossover that pulls ahead of Mazda’s CX-5. It’s engine never disappoints in fuel efficiency and power. The SkyActiv powertrain is a key player in what makes the CX-5 such a hot buy.

How do we know that this new technology won’t disappoint? The SkyActiv-D engine was made to be used with Euro VI fuels. The Philippines was still operating with Euro IV fuels but Mazda was able modify the engine to work with those fuels.

Have you been looking for a car that performs well yet is easy on gas? Some characteristics of the engine are twin turbochargers, variable valve timing and 173 horsepower with 420 Newton meters of torque. Thankfully, these will deliver speed on the highway and good fuel efficiency.

The CX-5 has one of the smoothest steering wheels you’ve ever had. It gets a lot of praise and this is why: it has great response. The wheel responds smoothly to your moves and the whatever the road brings. If you were to drive one today, you’ll probably notice that the brakes are just as responsive. It really makes for more comfortable and confident drive.

Mazda has always been devoted to safety, so you can rest assured that there will be a collection of safety features in any Mazda model you may purchase. The CX-5 will have six airbags, traction/stability control, adaptive headlights, lane keep assist/lane departure warning, ABS-EBD brakes and tire pressure monitoring system.

This compact crossover is a great car for those who are looking for looks, reliability, performance, fuel economy and safety. It’s such a versatile car. We can picture a family in it, an outdoorsy person, a young student and so much more.

Come see why Mazda is a great option for you. Please visit us at CardinaleWay Mazda in Corona. We’d love to show you around!

The SkyActiv Feature: A New Technology For Mazda’s CX-5, Part I

Wednesday, September 14th, 2016

Mazda Cx-5 1

Up until now, Subaru’s Forester has been pitted against the CX-5 in fierce competition. Yes, the Forester has had plenty to offer in its class but the CX-5 has never fallen behind. It hit the market with stylish body lines, an impressive powertrain and a collection of great features. It’s also always shown good drivability in urban and off-road settings. However, once the SkyActiv-D powertrain was introduced, the CX-5 became the clear choice crossover in all of its class.

Let’s talk about what makes the SkyActiv-D powertrain so valuable. The transmission is able to move more effectively with its new parts. They have been redesigned to be lighter and therefore, a lot faster. There are also automatics that immobilize torque converters faster, so that the engine is more powerful while still performing at a pace that’s best for fuel economy. The new powertrain is powerful, while still lighter and has good NVH isolation.

Something else worth mentioning is that the labcoats over at Mazda have instituted a way to get a compression ratio down to 14:1. Because of this, it is able to avoid the weight of a diesel engine and instead be much lighter. This makes for a faster and more effective engine. So, if saving on gas is important to you, take note. A lighter engine means less fuel is used to pull that extra weight. You save gas! Apart from saving on fuel, you also get a more powerful engine that’s also quieter. If you’ve heard a diesel engine running, you know what we mean. None of that here!

Please come visit us at CardinaleWay Mazda in Corona. We would love to discuss with you the many benefits of SkyActiv technology on your new Mazda.

Snag Your Very Own 2017 Mazda6 Starting At $22,780

Monday, September 12th, 2016

Mazda pic

That’s right! Mazda is going to start rolling out the Mazda6 at only $22,780, with a destination charge with $835 included!

The basic model will come with a rear view camera, 17-inch alloy wheels and a six-speed manual drive. All models will sport 184 horsepower fueled by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine. A Touring and Sport trim can be applied as a $1,050 standalone option.

Mazda’s top of the line trim, The Grand Touring, will consist of a sunroof, leather-trim seats, satellite radio, Bose sound system, paddle shifters and a rear lip spoiler. It will be available at $31,530, with destination fees included, of course. Also available, is a brand new coat called Machine Gray Metallic paint.

Let’s discuss a key feature. G-Vectoring Control–Mazda’s much talked about new little feature–will be in all new 6 models. This system will improve steering response by smoothing out every unpleasant movement on the road.

This feature is perfect for those having to deal with unfinished city roads, daily commutes to and from work, long traffic times and stop-and-go. Take a drive in Mazda under these conditions and you’ll see that lane changing, brake-tapping and any sudden movements brought on by other drivers will be noticeably minimized. Even dragging your Mazda6 across a sharp wide turn at a high speed will not cause it to drag or skid on the road much. G-Vectoring Control makes your car respond more directly to your every move. It’s a very exciting feature!

For a closer look at the Mazda6 and it’s new capabilities, please come visit us in CardinaleWay Mazda in Corona. We have all sorts of models that suit every desire and need. Whether you’re looking for a new or pre-owned Mazda vehicle, we’re sure to have something for you to test-drive today.

Our Mazda3 vs. Honda’s Fit: What You Need To Know

Friday, September 9th, 2016

mazda3 2

What we love most about Mazda’s compact car option is that it’s a perfect example of how beauty and practicality can happily coexist. This year, the new Mazda3 and Honda Fit hit the market right around the same time, getting the attention of compact car lovers everywhere. We’ve had a chance to review them thoroughly. Let’s get right into what makes these two different.

The Mazda3 hatchback arrived with a newer grille, reformed back bumper and glimmering LED headlights. Honda’s new Fit looks pretty much the same as it did last year.

Inside the Mazda3, you will see added storage space to minimize clutter, interior padding to improve sound insulation and a slew of safety features like blind spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert. Again, the Fit doesn’t measure up to the 3 in features.

The Fit has a 1.5L four-cylinder engine with 130 horsepower. The Mazda3 has a 2.0L four-cylinder with 155 horsepower, and you even get the option of purchasing a power powerful option of 184 horsepower. If you’re thinking that this is going to cost you more fuel–think again! Despite all this power the 3 still has better fuel economy than the Fit.

Let’s not forget about Mazda’s exclusive new feature–G-Vectoring Control. This luxurious new technology activates to make your drive a smoother and safer one at every speed, turn and brake. Unfortunately, the Fit does not have this advantage.

As you can see by now, the Mazda3 beats the Fit in safety, looks, power and fuel economy. Don’t miss out on the luxury and technology that Mazda has to offer. Purchasing a compact car doesn’t have to mean a sacrifice in comfort or reliability.

Come visit CardinaleWay Mazda in Corona and see for yourself how gratifying a compact car can really be.
