Mazda Stakes Its Hopes For The Future In Its Skyactiv Engines

Tuesday, August 15th, 2017

Green Car Reports summarized an interview that was recently conducted with Robert Davis, Mazda’s North American senior vice president. His remarks were enlightening and CardinaleWay Mazda in Corona, your favorite Corona dealership, wants to share his insight with you. We think it will give our consumers a better idea of where Mazda is heading in the near future.

The Future Of Electric Vehicles (EVs)
We’ve all heard the hype about electric vehicles and how they’re going to save the world from emissions pollution. In his interview, Mazda’s Robert Davis has something to say about the future of electric vehicles. For one, he strongly believes that the demand for EVs won’t be as strong if the government takes away the federal tax credit. Right now, that tax credit is a generous $7,500. If the tax credit goes away, Davis thinks the market for EVs will also greatly diminish. We already know that there are still many logistical hurdles to clear for EVs to exist as the dominant vehicle. For instance, a great deal of infrastructure must take place and that could take years, if not decades. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean that Mazda plans to steer clear of manufacturing EVs. They are simply taking a more cautious approach. In announcing plans for Toyota and Mazda to build a new auto manufacturing plant in the U.S. by 2021, we’re told there are plans for Mazda to work in tandem with Toyota on the development of EVs.

Mazda To Unveil Combustion Engine Next Year
Robert Davis also states Mazda’s position that they’ll continue to invest in their lineup of Skyactiv engines. He also shrugs off the notion that gasoline and diesel engines will soon be a thing of the past. Next year, Mazda plans to unveil its latest Skyactiv engine, a combustion engine that they believe will be extremely fuel efficient. Mazda will continue to pour their money into research and development of their Skyactiv engines. Also interesting to note is that Mazda’s vehicles are among the cleanest in emissions testing.

2016 Mazda3 Named A “Best Dog-Friendly” Vehicle

Tuesday, February 21st, 2017

Your Pooch Deserves To Ride In The 2016 Mazda3

The 2016 Mazda3 is not only affordable, it’s fuel efficient too.  However, the best part may be its hatchback, making it ideal for loading and unloading your four-legged pets.  The cargo space is a roomy 20.2 cubic feet, more than most comparable models.  You can easily fit a pooch or multiple dogs the size of a Chihuahua, up to medium-sized breeds such as a Schnauzer or even a large breed Labrador Retriever, or any mix in-between.  However, for the gentle giants like the Mastiff or Great Dane, you may need a taller vehicle.  If you decide not to place your beloved pet(s) in the cargo hold, there is always the second row of seats within easy reach for reassuring pats and treats.  Or, you can even fold down the second row of seats for even more space for your four-legged companions!

There’s So Many Cool Accessories And Gadgets

Check out all the accessories and gadgets that are available on the market to make Rover’s ride even more comfortable.  There is no shortage of what you can select, such as rubber mats, pet barriers, seat cover hammocks, seat belt harness or a ramp.  There’s simply no excuse to leave Rover at home when you can safely transport him in a 2016 Mazda3.

Car Seats And Booster Seats Keep Your Children Safe

You may wish to consider bringing your infant or toddler car seat or booster seat along to when you shop for your next family vehicle.  Configuration of multiple car seats or booster seats is important.  Infants, toddlers and older children are required by law to be restrained in car seats and booster seats. Properly installing car seats or booster seats can help reduce the risk of injuries or fatalities in children.

In addition to considering proper installation and configuration of car seats or booster seats, you may also want to perform a quick test to determine how easy it is to put a child into their car seat or booster seat and quickly remove them.

Proof That Mazda Puts Your Family’s Safety First

We know that families spend a lot of time in their vehicles transporting their precious cargo.  We understand the need to put your children’s safety first.  Mazda family vehicles feature the i-ACTIVSENSE safety suite which includes Lane-Keep Assist System, Blind Spot Monitoring, Rear Vehicle Monitoring, Lane Departure Warning System and Forward Obstruction Warning.  The IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) recently named these Mazda vehicles their Top Safety Picks:  2017 Mazda3, 2017 Mazda CX-5, 2017 Mazda6 and 2017 Mazda CX-3.

Mazda CX-3

Mazda Set To Launch Diesel Engine In 2017 For CX-5

Thursday, February 2nd, 2017

Mazda Diesel Engine According to Green Car Reports, Mazda is busily preparing to launch its first diesel engine for its Mazda CX-5 crossover.  Reports project that Mazda will make the debut of its diesel engine in the Fall of 2017 for the CX-5.  CardinaleWay #MazdaCorona looks forward to welcoming this latest technology and expects that demand will be strong for the 2017 Mazda CX-5.

Difference Between Gasoline And Diesel Engines

Green Car Reports is quick to point out that the major difference between gasoline and diesel engines in vehicles is in how they are ignited.  Primarily, gas-infused engines are started with spark plugs, while diesel engines make use of compression. No longer are diesel engines associated with being dirty or noisy.

The Mazda technology utilizes a homogeneous-charge compression engine that will play a huge part in the fuel economy of the its 2017 CX-9s. They are projecting that their diesel engine may experience a 30 percent increase in fuel efficiency compared to the more conventional gasoline engine.

Diesel Engine May Debut First In The Mazda3

Before Mazda launches the new diesel engine in the 2017 Mazda CX-5, it may try it out first in the compact Mazda3.  Depending on how well it is received in the marketplace, it’s expected that other models may be adapted to feature a diesel engine as well.
