The cat’s out of the bag–or partially anyway. Recently some “spies” got a sneak peak at the 2018 Mazda CX-5. It happened during a test drive in Southern California and car enthusiasts are buzzing.
It looks like some major style changes are in store for the CX-5 that could make waves through the rest of this decade. While there aren’t a lot of details (the car was significantly camouflaged), our spies were able to tell
that the headlamps were more angular, while the foglamp recesses were less pronounced. The front end appears to resemble the Mazda CX-9, as well. While once upon a time there used to be somewhat of a kink found in the lower side cladding, it’s nowhere in sight on this model. The cladding looks to sit a bit lower, and appears to be thinner in the rear, too.
Rumors are swirling and the speculation is that this feisty 2018 will also get more of the premium treatment from Mazda. The big question is, will Mazda debut the 2018 CX-5 at the Los Angeles International Auto Show in November? We sure hope so.
