Mazda Boasts Best Fleet Mileage in U.S., Says EPA

For the third year in a row, the EPA’s Light Duty Fuel Economy Trends report has named Mazda’s vehicles as the most fuel efficient in the U.S. For the 2014 model year, Mazda’s combined cycle for all vehicles in the U.S. was 29.4 mpg, which includes a nearly 5% improvement over the previous model year. Overall U.S. averages among other automakers was 24.3 mpg. For the 2014 model year, Mazda’s adjusted fuel economy values were 31.8 mpg. The EPA’s report summarizes fuel economy trends of cars sold in the United States on a model year basis, then ranks automakers by manufacturer and adjusted fuel economy.
