Monday, October 31st, 2016

Mazda MX-5 RF 2

Are you a fan of the new MX-5? What’s not to love, right? The hardtop version is a look in and of itself. It’s incredibly sleek and gorgeous. Apart from its stunning good looks, it’s a cutting edge hardtop convertible with innovating designing unique to Mazda. This is the same Mazda convertible that was so well received at this year’s New York Auto Show.

Robert Davis, the senior VP of U.S. Operations at Mazda stated, “The 2017 MX-5 RF Launch Edition preorder program was created to reward loyal Mazda customers with exclusive access to some of the first MX-5 RF models to be sold in the U.S., as well as to ramp up anticipation for what was arguably the star of the 2016 New York International Auto Show.”

There were a cool 1,000 #MazdaMX-5RF Launch Edition units up for grabs. In just the first week of ordering, half of them were ordered. They are now completely sold out. Customers who ordered the limited edition models

will have them in their possession early next year.

These Launch Edition MX-5s feature a beautiful Machine Gray Metallic paint job and Auburn Nappa leather seating among some other unique lavishings. Along with the new vehicle, customers also receive a new serialized Tourneau 42 mm watch, “MX-5 RF Launch Edition.”

Just because the Launch Edition has sold out doesn’t mean you can’t get your hands on your very own MX-5 RF. Take a look at our Club trim and Grand Touring trim (our most popular). They start at a low $31,555.

Visit us at CardinaleWay Mazda in Corona to talk about which trim is best for you! Our sales staff would be more than happy to help you answer any questions you might have. Check us out online at www.CardinaleWayMazdaCorona.com.

The Mazda6 Is Back With G-Vectoring Control

Tuesday, October 25th, 2016

2016-Mazda-3-sedan-dashboard_lg

The #Mazda6 has always been one of Mazda’s most popular models, along with the Mazda3. Now it’s gotten even better with the introduction of Mazda’s exclusive new system called G-Vectoring Control and its fans are incredibly excited about this new engine improvement. In case you haven’t heard of it until now, we’re ready to explain what it is and what it means to you. Please keep reading!

We’ll begin by talking a little bit about Mazda’s vision for drivers. It’s very relevant to how this system operates. Since the beginning, Mazda has established itself as an innovator and creative car maker amongst the bunches of manufacturers out there. Mazda wants to bring you a car that doesn’t feel like a machine you are operating, but more like an extension of your own body. It’s incredible how Mazda comes back every year with designs and improvements that do just that.
G-Vectoring Control is a computer software that is installed in the car. It basically works to shift the weight of the car forward or backward, depending on whether it’s accelerating or decelerating. A shift of weight to the front of the car when decelerating would even out the momentum of the car and give the driver more control behind the wheel, and vice versa. G-Vectoring activates at any speed. Cornering response is smoother when you’re making fast wide turns (even minimal ones). The wheels grip the road more effectively and you’ll experience less dragging or swerving on the road. Switching lanes is easier, too. Overall, the drive is more purposeful and direct without a messy, skiddy drive. The steering wheel feels so smooth and responsive. The feeling is luxurious.

Come visit us at CardinaleWay Mazda in Corona for a closer look at the Mazda6. Check out our current inventory online at www.CardinaleWayMazdaCorona.com.

Compact SUV Comparison: The Mazda CX-5 & The Honda CR-V

Monday, October 24th, 2016

Mazda 4 Koeru could be next CX-5

Compact SUVs are in very strong demand right now. They are probably the most popular go-to vehicles and we thought you’d like to see what two of these looked like side by side. Which do you think will come out to be the strongest competitor? Read on to find out.

Let’s talk safety. Although the CR-V scored well in testing, the CX-5 scored very well across the board. Not only did it received the highest possible ratings in the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), but did extremely well in the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Mazda is famous for their performance. Their models are responsive, agile and light behind the wheel. If you’re looking for the ultimate spice, opt for a 2.5-liter engine with 184 horsepower. That will keep things interesting!

If you need towing capabilities in your compact SUV then put your money on the CX-5. It can tow 500 pounds more than the CR-V and has more torque, as well.

In fuel efficiency, the CX-5 beats out the CR-V with a 2.0-liter manual transmission engine at 26 mpg in the city and 35 mpg on the highway.

As far as price goes, Mazda has always prided itself in bringing affordable quality vehicles to the public. Honda has always remained more expensive than Mazda. The #MazdaCX-5 starts at $21,795 and the CR-V at $23,845. Even at their most expensive, these models remain the same in relation to each other. The most expensive CX-5 is $29,870 and the priciest CR-V is $33,495.

Come get a closer look at the Mazda CX-5. It’s a gorgeous, reliable, quality car that would satisfy the needs of nearly any SUV aficionado today. For a good look at our new and certified pre-owned cars, visit us at CardinaleWay Mazda in Corona or online at www.CardinaleWayMazdaCorona.com.

Reading The Window Sticker On A New Car

Thursday, October 20th, 2016

shutterstock_453999325

Have you ever taken a walk around a car lot and found yourself trying to figure out all the information on that window sticker? Those window stickers actually have a name–#Monroneys. As you probably already know, they have everything the buyer needs to know about the vehicle they are looking at and what’s included in the purchase. The name Monroney comes directly from Oklahoma Senator Mike Monroney’s name. He worked to make sure car buyers knew what they were getting before the purchase.

Like mattress tags, a Monroney is applied by the manufacturer and can only be removed by the purchaser. Every Monroney is individual to the car its on and it has that car’s VIN listed on it. If you look at the price on it, you’ll see that there is a list of items that add up to the final price. If a cost isn’t included for an item you know the car has, then you know that the item is included in the price.

The car’s name and MPG rating are bolded and in prominent font. It’s important to remember that these numbers are a testing result and fuel economy on the car may differ from this.

Aside from this bolded information, you’ll see that items and features will be listed below. There is quite a bit of information to review there. A quick tip–take a picture of the window sticker with your camera phone or ask a sales staff member to provide you with a copy. That way, you’ll be able to review it in the comfort of your own home and at your own leisure.

We strive to make the car buying process as easy as possible! Come visit us at CardinaleWay Mazda in Corona for a look at our new and certified pre-owned vehicles or check us out online at www.CardinaleWayMazdaCorona.com.  Our sales professionals can help you find a great new ride and our Finance team can help you drive it off the lot today!

Exciting News About The Mazda MX-5 RF

Wednesday, October 19th, 2016

Mazda MX-5 RF

The #MazdaMX-5RF has been the talk of convertible sports cars since its New York Auto Show debut earlier this year. Its upscale look and fancy features left many stunned with what Mazda was actually capable of doing. Well, Mazda is capable of a whole lot, but people simply don’t expect car manufacturers to take risks like this. Mazda is an affordable brand that loves walking the luxury line.

The RF is a hardtop version of its soft top model, only this hardtop convertible is engineered to lack the drawbacks of so many other hardtop convertible cars out there. The drawbacks to those other models are a smaller trunk space and a slow or manual system that closes the top. The RF has none of this. Quite opposite, in fact!

So what’s the exciting news? A price has been set for this model! As popular and as innovative as it is, we’re sure some people assumed the price was going to astronomical We’re happy to say it’s not. At the most basic trim, this model starts at only $31,555. This trim is called the Club trim and for not much more, you can get the top-of-the-line trim: the Grand Touring trim at $32,620.

It’s already in production in Japan. You’ll be able to purchase your own RF early next year. Don’t wait until next year to figure out which trim and color options are the best fit for you! Come visit us at CardinaleWay Mazda in Corona. We’d love to help you figure out exactly what you’re looking for before they arrive, so when they do, you’re ready to go. We’re all about making the process easier for you, so don’t hesitate to stop by.

Top Choice: The Mazda CX-3

Monday, October 17th, 2016

Mazda CX-3

Small crossovers are all the rage right now and although the #MazdaCX-3 is only a year old, it’s already a hot commodity. So hot, in fact, that it’s been called the best compact crossover in the market.

Seriously, what’s not to love about it? It’s good looking with a stylish body line that runs nicely from its short front to its sleek tail lights and twin exhausts. It’s interior doesn’t disappoint either.

The Grand Touring trim is Mazda’s most popular choice for its whole and luxurious feeling. While it’s true that sitting in any Mazda model or trim will make you feel comfortable and at ease, the top of the line trim, Grand Touring, offers more premium features like a leather trim.

The dashboard is trimmed with a long padded leather strip. The surrounding surfaces, such as the doors and console, are also lined with leather. The contrasting colors, on all available color combinations, compliment each other very well. The comfortable seats also come lavished in these gorgeous premium materials.

Let’s talk about what’s under the hood. The CX-3 has a SkyActiv 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 146 horsepower. This arrangement carries the crossover just fine but if you’re looking for a more powerful drive, just make use of the Sport Mode. It’s a lot of fun!

At $28,510, you can enjoy this with the ActivSense package included. This consists of lane-departure warning, blind spot monitoring, smart brake support, radar cruise control, high-beam control and variable rain-sensing wipers.

Come visit us at CardinaleWay Mazda in Corona for an up close and personal look at this special crossover. For a look at what else we have in store, please visit www.CardinaleWayMazdaCorona.com. There’s a great variety of new and certified pre-owned vehicles listed there.

A Look At The 2015 Mazda3 2.5L Manual Hatchback

Thursday, October 13th, 2016

Mazda3 1

The #Mazda3 is a special car. It’s compact and luxurious in ways that leaves you wondering how it happened at that low price. The Mazda3 has been said to be,  “…one of the few cars on the market today that is worth more than it costs.” If you’re looking for a small car that doesn’t stop giving, then please consider this one. Any trim you choose will not disappoint, but we do recommend the Grand Touring trim. It’s a joy to drive!

Hatchbacks are pretty popular and our Mazda3 takes its class by storm. If you’re interested in cargo volume, the 3 hatchback will extend your space from 12 to 20 cubic feet, with a charge of only $500 over the Mazda sedans. The Grand Touring option will give you a 2.5-liter four cylinder with 184 horsepower and 185 lb-ft of torque. The wheels are 18-inches and the option includes 215/45 Dunlop SP Sport 5000.

Since this is Mazda’s top-of-the-line trim, expect leather seats (with the front seats heated), blind spot monitors, rain-sensing wipers, a head-up display, rearview camera, adaptive headlights, and navigation and infotainment system (which can be controlled by touchscreen or a knob by the gear shift. Add to this keyless entry and startup, sunroof, and surround-sound audio system made by Bose.

While this is a great option for daily commutes to work and back home, it’s also a good car for long weekend trips. Jennifer Harrington, Associate Editor at Car and Driver stated that, “This car is a little sweetie. It has good looks inside and out, and both the front and rear seats are plenty comfortable for long trips.”

For a closer look at this compact beauty, please visit us at CardinaleWay Mazda in Corona. We have a great selection of new and certified pre-owned vehicles available for viewing on location or online at www.cardinalewaymazdacorona.com.

Exploring The CX-5 Infotainment System

Wednesday, October 12th, 2016

Mazda CX-5 interior

The #MazdaCX-5 has a lot to offer in terms of drivability, safety and practicality, but the infotainment system is an area we would like you to explore, as well. Like the model, it is versatile and has a whole lot to offer.

First, we want to mention that Mazda Connect is a collective name for the infotainment system, cockpit control wheel combination and the phone connection. The control wheel is different than others in the market in that it has less buttons to have to mess with. It is much sleeker and simple to work with. The available buttons are Navigation, Back, Music, Main Menu and Favorites. The control wheel manages the touch-enabled 8-inch center stack.

The navigation is conveniently voice-controlled and the audio system is great! It has the standard AM/FM deck with HD and satellite added to it. If you’d rather listen to what’s playing on your phone, the CX-5 has Bluetooth and USB capabilities. If you need to access Aha, Pandora or Stitcher, you can use the car’s controls to access and use them. The steering wheel and dash are designed to be very accessible to whatever audio needs you may have. You can hop through channels easily through the wheel and the dash has plenty of favorite buttons for you to use.

We would love to show you how convenient the infotainment system is set up and how comfortable all the buttons are relative to the driver’s seating position. If you’d like to come take the CX-5 on a test drive, or would like any questions answered, our wonderful sales team at CardinaleWay Mazda in Corona would be more than happy to make that happen for you. For a look at our current inventory, head on over to www.cardinalewaymazdacorona.com.

The Mazda CX-5: The Best Compact SUV On The Market

Monday, October 10th, 2016

Mazda CX-5 2

The CX-5 is an amazing SUV. It’s insanely popular at Mazda and we know why. This compact SUV has a lot offer without taking away from crucial areas that are so important for any vehicle. It wins in power, drivability, safety features, driver assisting, braking–we could go on and on. It’s a whole deal. A great deal!

The adaptive cruise control feature on the #MazdaCX-5 has automated braking. What’s more is that the Grand Touring trim provides additional braking support called Smart City Brake Support (SCBS) and Smart Brake Support (SBS).

The SCBS consists of a near-infrared laser mounted on the windshield that tracks the car in front while you’re driving at low speeds. If your car approaches the car in front and suddenly that the distance is dangerous, the CX-5 will brake suddenly and help you avoid collision. Even better news? This feature also works when you’re in reverse! There are two sensors located in the back that can detect objects at 1-2.5 mph and will brake the car if it gets too close for comfort.

The SBS is different in that it gives a warning before braking the car. This will happen at higher speeds and the SBS is always on. No need to switch it on like you would adaptive cruise control. The warning is a red indicator that flashes “BRAKE” on the dash.
These features are just a few of many that are available in many Mazda models. The CX-5 is great car if you’re looking for a compact SUV that offers style, drivability, safety and comfort. For a test drive, come visit us at Cardinaleway Mazda in Corona. Our amazing sales staff is always happy to answer all your questions! We’d love to see you, please stop by!
