Riverside Area Mazda Drivers Declare The Mazda6 Best In Class

Until quite recently, the midsize sedan segment was the most fiercely competitive area of the market and packed with exceptionally good cars. A trip to an area Riverside Mazda dealership will reveal the 2019 Mazda6 is still one of the very best, and here's why.

For a start, just look at it. No matter how much you like other types of vehicles, when you see the 2019 Mazda6 at a dealership like the area Riverside Mazda dealer like CardinaleWay Mazda n Corona, it's impossible to ignore Mazda’s stunning Kodo design language. The car is sleek and sporty, but at the same time its styling has serious presence. If there's a more attractive car in the segment it's hard to imagine what it is.

Five trim levels make up the Mazda6 family at the moment, starting with the Sport trim, which is very nicely equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels and LED lights. Then there’s the Touring, Grand Touring, Grand Touring Reserve and the top-of-the-line Signature trim.

The 2019 Mazda6 Sport and Touring trims are powered by a 2.5-liter natural-aspirated four-cylinder engine that develops 187 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque, mated to a standard six-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the front wheels. The Sport trim has an available six-speed manual gearbox.

The Touring trim and higher features a more powerful 2.5-liter turbo-four, which puts out 227 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque, paired to a six-speed automatic transmission. If you choose to use 93 octane fuel instead of regular gas though, the turbo-four gets a power bump to 250 hp.

The entry-level Sport trim is anything but entry level in terms of features. As well as the 17-inch alloys and LED lights, it also comes standard with dual-zone climate control, push button start, remote keyless entry, the Mazda Connect infotainment system, an eight-inch touchscreen display, Bluetooth streaming and connectivity, a rearview camera and lots more.

At the other end of the trim-level spectrum, the Signature gets standard upscale features that include Nappa leather upholstery, a 7-inch TFT multi-instrument display, a black headliner, a 360-degree View Monitor, and front and rear parking sensors. If you want premium luxury without a premium price, the 2019 Mazda6 Signature is definitely the place to look.

On top of all those comfort, convenience and connectivity features, the 2019 Mazda6 is also pretty well stocked with the latest safety technology, too. In fact, the 2018 Mazda6 got a full five-star rating from the NHTSA for overall safety while the IIHS made it a Top Safety Pick, and there's no reason to expect anything less for 2019.

Standard safety tech on the Mazda6 Sport includes all the usual features we expect such as airbags, traction control and ABS. More advanced features include Smart City Brake Support, Dynamic Stability Control, an Advanced Blind Spot Monitoring System and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. And if extra safety technology is what you want, the available I-Activsense Package adds Smart Brake Support, Mazda Radar Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Lane Departure Warning, Lane-keep Assist, High Beam Control, auto on/off headlights and rain-sensing windshield wipers.
